The Society for the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality maintains Committees to research and advocate for topics relevant to our members. These groups organize webinars, write papers, and provide thoughtful guidance to the Executive Committee to shape the future of Division 36.
Program Committee: Organize and manage Mid-year conference and Division 36 involvement in annual APA Convention.
Ombudsman/Listserv Committee: Uphold community communication norms and manage feedback.
Training and Education Committee: Organize professional development opportunities for members.
Grants Committee: Manage yearly grants awarded by Division 36 including outreach and review of proposals.
Early Career Professional Committee: Represent the unique interests, needs and concerns of early career psychologists of religion and spirituality.
Fellows Committee: Recruit and support leaders in the field in the application process to become an APA and/or Division 36 fellow.
Student Committee: Represent the unique interests, needs and concerns of graduate students of psychology, religion, and spirituality.
Awards Committee: Host and manage call for yearly awards recognizing exceptional leadership and academic contributions.
Publications Committee: Organize and edit the official Div. 36 journal, Psychology of Religion and Spirituality.
Newsletter Committee: Write and circulate quarterly newsletter highlighting member publications, research, and initiatives.
